Woman opens death-themed hotel
A Chinese woman has opened a mausoleum-themed inn to let people experience the feeling of death.
Jiao Meige set up the Mausoleum Inn in a house in Lishui town, Jiangsu province, reports the Jinling Evening Post.
The building is shaped like a Chinese mausoleum, and the beds are in the shapes of coffins.
"I rented this piece of land to put a farm there, but because there are many old graves in the field, no one wants to work here," she said.
Jiao says the idea for the Mausoleum Inn came to her in a flash.
"Since there are so many graves, why don't I give people a chance to experience death?" she asked.
"There are no services at night, and the guest can go nowhere, since outside is just a vast graveyard."
Jiao says no residents with heart problems will be accepted, and mental patients must be accompanied by healthy people.

Since then, she says it has brought her life-changing strength and luck in everything she does.

The “Ocean Dome” in Miyazaki, Kyushu Island
The “Ocean Dome”, the largest indoor water park in the world, is located in Miyazaki, Kyushu Island (Japan). The size is impressive. In fact, Ocean Dome is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s largest indoor water park, measuring 300 meters in length, 100 meters in width. And the temperature is 30 degrees Celsius year-round.

The Christmas Tree Sings
'Choir' Xmas tree sings in Nagano PrefectureA "singing human" Christmas tree set up at a Christian retreat here has begun performing carols in the lead-up to Christmas.
The tree is actually a lit-up 7-story pyramid standing about 7-meters high and is illuminated in the garden of the Megumi Chalet Karuizawa.
The tree was a gift from a church in the United States and setting it up in the garden cost about 2 million yen.
Over the weekend, about 40 people formed a choir dressed in red gowns and lined up along the various stories of the Christmas tree. The choir sang carols such as "Silent Night" together with local residents who came to watch them.

Manila North Cemetery Houses More Warm Bodies Than Cold Corpses
10,000 Filipino families live in this massive graveyard in Manila.
Some families ended up here almost accidentally. Some inherited the mausoleums that they now live in from their great-grandparents. Others came from the provinces and couldn’t make enough money to live in the big city. In all cases, they’re basically families with nowhere else to go.
The people who live here manage to extract livelihoods from the dead. Teenagers carry coffins for 50 Filipino pesos—about 50 American cents. Children collect scrap metal, plastic, and other garbage to sell. Their fathers are employed to repair and maintain tombs while their mothers maintain the house, which could be the family mausoleum or the mausoleum of their employers. Rent-free shanties are wedged between or on top of crypts.
